Simien Mountain National Park Trekking
This itinerary intends for those who don't have time for Ras Dashen, to take advantage to the second peak of the park. This trip doesn’t mean that everyone can do it but as mentioned above, it needs a good level of physical fitness to accomplish or to get in to the Bwahit Ras 4440m asl (second peak of the park).

Transportation: Fly and Drive
Tour Cover: Addis, Gondar, Debark, Sankabar, Geech, Imetgogo, Quedadit, Seha, Chenek.
Day 01: Fly to Gondar and drive to Sankabar
Upon arrival at Gondar Airport departure for Debark town where the head quarter of Semien Mountains National Park is found. Here we pay the entrance fees and pick a scout and local guide to accompany us. this day you will have short trekking as acclimatization on high mountain more than 3000m asl so we drive and trek to Sankabar (31 Kms) to the first campsite in the National Park. Overnight camping at Sankabar.
Day 02: Trek from Sankabar to Geech 5-6hrs
This is the day that we arrange all the trekking staff including mules and Muleteers for packing, transport of camping gears and all foodstuffs for the trek. It is the that we start trekking in the park we walk for 5-6hrs enjoying wonderful scenery and heard of the endemic Gelada Baboon can be seen on our way to Geech. O/n Camping at Geech Campsite (3600m).
Day 03: Quedadit and Seha 4-5hrs
we will be waking to the best viewpoints in the National park. First, we walk to Imetgogo, the view here enables one to look to all directions this is one of the best views in the national park. After a short stay here continue walk to Seha, the other terrific viewpoint in the National park. We will have our picnic lunch and we continue to the last viewpoint, Quedadit. After some stay, we walk back to Geech camp site. This day the walk not so hard it will take about 4 - 5 hours. Overnight camping at Geech
Day 04: Trek Geech to Chenek 6-7hrs
After breakfast start you day trekking. We will be walking through the Giant lobelia trees; African field Rats are common. After picnic lunch we walk on the edge of Enatye escarpments (4000m. above sea level), which is another breathtaking view in the national park; finally, we descend to Chenek. Chenek is the best place to see the endemic Walia Ibex and more Gelada Baboon. O/n Camping at Chenek.
Day 5: Drive Chenek to Gondar
Breakfast at the campsite then a 2 hour hike up to the Bwahit peak. Here you will be standing on the second highest peak in the Simien Mountains (4,430m). Here is where many visitors are able to see the endemic animals like the Walia Ibex and Ethiopian Red Fox. After spending time at the peak, you will hike back down to Chenek for lunch and transportation back to Gondar for Overnight.
Day 6: Fly from Gondar to Addis Ababa
After breakfast you may have city tour Gondar after that transfer to the airport and fly from Gondar to Addis Ababa then check in to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel or transfer to airport and fly back home.
