Bale Mountain National Park Trekking
This trekking itinerary is intended to make long trekking in the mountain for those who want to climb Rash Dashen Mountain. This trekking itinerary will give a chance to trek on highland land to the peakiest in the country with its associated lowland therefore, the best combination of highland and lowland round trip trekking in the country.

Day 01: Addis Ababa - Dinsho Bale Mountains
After breakfast, we start drive to the Bale Mt. National Park, traveling thorough the southeast part of the capital, where fertile land is cultivated by the Oromo people. We arrive at Dinsho (Park HQ) in the afternoon walk around to see three of the endemic mammals: Menelik's Bushbuck, and Mountain Nyala. Overnight camping at Dinsho
Day 02: Trek from Dinsho to Fincha Aberra 5hrs
Start Trekking to Wolla Valleys (Kotera) Fincha Aberra – Camping: Today we stat our trekking and here where we will be accompanied by local guide, a scout and packhorses and trek 5 hrs through the lush highland vegetation to our first campsite. The air here is clean, crisp and the scenery utterly stunning. Overnight camping at Fincha Aberra
Day 03: Trek from Fincha Aberra to Wassema 7-8hrs
After breakfast we resume trek that will last for approx. 7-8 hrs. The trek offers the chance to see Ethiopia's endemic Abyssinian Wolf. Overnight camping at the base of Wassema Mountain. O/n camping
Day 04: Trek from Wassema to Gebre Guracha
Today we trek through the highlands, crossing Batu Mountain on the way to Gebre Guracha. Wild flowers abound, the dominant plant being the Helichrysm, or 'everlasting' flowers. The Everlasting plant can be seen in several forms, but the grey bushes of H. splendidum are the most striking with their yellow flowers. Several rodent species are found in the area. O/n camping
Day 05: Trek from Gebra Guracha to Sanate 5hrs
After breakfast we trek for 5 hrs to the highest peak in the Bale Mountains, Tulu Dimtu (4377m, 14357ft) which is part of the Sanetti Plateau. The vistas are simply unbelievable and so photogenic. Here you will find small alpine lakes and typical afro-alpine vegetation that includes the Giant Lobelia and shrubs such as 'Everlasting'. Vistas reach out to the strange pinnacles of Chorchora Peak and across the sheer-sided Tegona River Gorge. There are views to the steep-sided volcanic plug of Konteh Tulu and the long, craggy ridges of Mount Batu. Overnight camping on the Sanate Plateau the 2nd peak in the country.
Day 06: Drive to Goba
Moring after breakfast pack our staff and drive down to Goba and then proceed to Wendo Genet spa resort. In the lodge there is natural hot water comes gushing out of the rocks and one can stand underneath, getting a natural hydro massage. There is also a naturally heated swimming pool. The scenery around the lodge is hilly and Juniper forested. While most visitors may prefer to relax around the spa, there are some very good walks in the hills
Day 07: Drive back to Addis Ababa
Morning after breakfast drive Addis Ababa with stops on the way at rift valley Lakes. Depending on your flight time you have a fare well dinner in one of the traditional Ethiopian restaurants. Then transfer to The Airport for your flight back home.
