DODOLA- ADABA TREKKING AND HORSE RIDING
National Park Head quarter Dinsho. The trekking and house riding between this community base trekking trail there is the camps situated on the attitude of 3080 and 3460m asl, the average distance between camps are 5-18kms and the walking or riding from one camp to the next takes will be from a few hours to half a day. So this allows you to spend every night in different camp. So, the trekking tour to the area can be dome alone or combine with Bale Mountain National park trekking or can be shorten or prolonged!

Means of transportation: Drive and hiking on horse or on foot
Accommodation: overnight in Tenet or huts built by community.
Day 01: Drive from Addis Ababa to Dodola
Morning after breakfast start drive to Dodola via Shashemene have lunch there and then proceed to Dodola up on the arrival facilitate all the requirements for our trekking at Community based Tourism Trekking at GTZ office at Dodola .We will arrange the Payment for the number of the days we stay in the camp, scout, local guide and Horses for packing from one destination to another. Overnight stay in Local Hotel Dodola.
Day 02: Trek to Wahoro
Morning after breakfast at local hotel we will drive 9kms where we start our trekking to Wahoro the trail takes us to Lensho River falls and then trek to uphill to the first camp. Around the forest camp there are several excursion possibilities. It is only a short foot walk to the impressive rock formation of Wahoro. Overnight camping or community huts.
Day 03: Trek from Wahoro to Angafo 5hrs
morning after breakfast start trekking to Angafo. the way leads through forest and moorlands heather. Between Tulu Gedemsa (3640 m a.s.l.) and Gama Hugicho (3713 m a.s.l.), the vegetation starts being dominated by giant lobelias and thistles. you may need about 5 hours for just less than 10 km. Overnight camping at Angafo (3460 meter above sea level). Overnight camping or community huts at Angafo.
Day 04: Trek from Angafo to Adele 4hrs
After breakfast continue trekking full day to Adele. Crossing Hagenia and Hypericum forests, fields of lobelias and torch lilies, and passing caves, the 9-km may take you about 4 hours trekking. At the beginning the trail follows a mountain ridge with views and then to the volcano shaped Mount Kaka (4100 m asl.) and Mount Honkolo (3900 m asl.) in Arsi on the other side of the Adaba-Dodola plain. Overnight stay camping or community huts at Adele.
Day 05: Trek from Adele to Mololicho 4hrs
Morning after breakfast start trekking to Mololicho. The way from Adele to Mololicho is long but beautiful (18 km). First it follows a mountain valley, then a mountain ridge, from where you can see down to the reservoir of Wabe Shebelle. Lobelias and torch lilies are plentiful along the route. Overnight stay camping or community huts at Mololicho.
Day 06: Trek from Mololicho to Dure
After breakfast continue trekking full day to Duro 2680 m asl. From the Duro forest camp it is possible to continue the horse trekking to the adjacent Bale Mountains National Park after prior arrangement with the park administration. Overnight at Duro Camping or community huts
Day07: trek around Duro to the Boarder of Bale Mountain National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast continue trek to the forest camp with the most impressive view. It borders the Bale Mountains National Park. overnight at Duro camping or community huts.
Day 08: Drive back to Ababa Addis
Morning after breakfast trek to Bucha Raya (9km from Adaba) where our car will be collected us and drive to Addis Ababa.
