Omo Valley Tribes Tour

Tour Duration: 5nights/6days

Tribes to be visited: Konso, Tsamay, Banna, Mursi, Hamar, Karo and many others tribes on the way.

Day 01: A day drive to Arba Minch, the Southern Rift Lakes of Chamo and Abaya adjacent to Nechisar National Park. We stop at the Melka Kunture archeological site and Tiya heritage site to admire the crudely fashioned stone monoliths, that some believe to be ancient grave marks. We stop for lunch at Butajira local restaurant and then precede on the edge of the Rift valley stop to visit the village and beautiful scenery. Overnight hotel at Arba Minch

Day 02: Today we drive further south to the town of Jinka to visit the Konso villages, known for their traditional cluster house style, ritual sites, grave mark Totem known as Waka, proceed to the Key Afar Town known for Thursday market if market day attend  the tribal market and continue to Jinka Overnight hotel at Jinka.

Day 03: Morning after breakfast drive further south to visit the Mursi Village in Mago Park, The Mursi tribe whose women wear circular clay plate on their lower lip as well ear lobes the men are known for the fierce stick fighting. Drive back to Jinka for Lunch break and proceed to Turmi. Overnight Lodge.

Day 04: Morning after breakfast drive to Karo tribe which set up their beautiful village at edge of Omo river, these peoples are masters at body decorating during festival time. Visit Karo and retrace to Turmi. After noon walk to Hamar Village and learn their way of life. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 05:  After breakfast drive to Arba Minch on the way stop at Arbores village which settled parallel to Lake Stephanie and at the Northern edge of Buska Mountain chain that extends 96Kms in the Weyto Plains of the Omo Valley. proceed to Arba Minch overnight night hotel.

Day 06: Retrace back to Addis Ababa via Shashemene stop at rift valley lakes and have your lunch at Langano resort and then continue to Addis Overnight at hotel// transfer to the airport to fly back home depending on your flight schedule.
